BELLA’S Restaurant is a casual, family-style, Roman Italian dining venue, with a 60-seat capability. We focus on delivering authentic Roman Italian food, outstanding service, an inviting atmosphere, and affordable pricing. We are located in the booming, rapidly expanding city of Charlottesville, Virginia, and are located on the popular West Main Street.
Owner and managing partner Valeria Bisenti came to America when she was 21 years old. In her new home of Charlottesville, Virginia, she discovered something missing – the type of warm, friendly, family-style restaurant she was used to in her hometown of Rome, Italy. Bella’s Restaurant has been her dream ever since. Ms. Bisenti wants the customer to be confident they will get the best of everything, just like at the restaurants and her own Mama’s house in Rome. Bella’s Restaurant features a cozy dining room with comfortable furnishings and a decor in soothing tones. The warm colors, softly lit room, and framed family photos hanging on the walls, all invite you to sit back, relax, and make yourself at home.
The menu is inspired by Rome’s renowned culinary specialties and appeals to a diverse clientele. Diners can order specialties like homemade pasta, porchetta, and prosciutto, or go a little bit more Italian-American with lasagna, chicken parmesan, and veal marsala. We also have a special seafood pasta entree every night and a lunch menu taken directly from the mother country of Italy. Adding value with family-style portion sizes and affordable pricing, the menu has a daily dinner special taken from the kitchen of Mamma Lucia Sallese, Bella’s very own mother.
